From 17th to 21st of February we had a huge LEGO event at CERN, where we had to sort out about 350 kilograms of LEGO into 23 large ATLAS LEGO models.
After the event 19 of the models will be shipped to institutes on four different continents, from countries like Austria, Canada, Germany, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Here’s a time-lapse video of the sorting event. Unfortunately the safety margin was added after multiplying by the number of models and not before, so we couldn’t use scales (at least not those we had available) to split up the pieces (some had only one or two spares for hundreds of bricks).
