The ATLAS group at the physics department of the Oklahoma State University just got pieces for one of the large ATLAS LEGO models shipped by LEGO. It will be the 61st copy in the world! We look forward to seeing it build soon!!!
Also in 2016 we took part in the Open Day in Garching.
All competing designs, as well as the first winners can be found on the event page (German only).
The jury has made it’s decision and we have the first four winners … congratulations to all four designers and thanks again to everyone for taking part in the event.
Now we wait for the end of the month for the decision in our Facebook audience award vote (the design with the most likes wins), which you are still welcome to take part in.
Nathan Readioff’s beautiful micro LHC models finally passed the magic line of 10k supporters at LEGO Ideas and is now under consideration for becoming an official LEGO set … we should expect the decision some time this fall.
Hopefully we’ll be more successful than the last time we passed 10k.
