ATLAS LEGO model – Statistics

The initial (though not complete) 3D design of the large model took about 48 hours, while the construction of the first brick model, including a few iterations, took about 33 hours. The small model took a few hours to design and slightly less than an hour to build.

As of now, there are in total 68 large and more than 100 small models. The models are located at 68 institutes in 19 different countries around the world. Not including overhead, this corresponds to more than 645,000 pieces use for possible physics outreach.
